Quote Checklist

Wholesale socks: align the sample before comparing offers

A completed artwork proof does not settle fiber content, size coverage or packed quantity. Use this checklist to connect the proposed sock, physical sample and factory quotation. Treat unknown values as questions, then compare suppliers on an equivalent requirement.

Build a sample approval board

01

Reference item

Identify the supplier's proposed sock construction and the buyer's artwork revision. Record requested material composition, size system, leg height, foot length and decoration placement. A stock reference with different yarn or artwork can help discuss options but cannot approve the final item.

02

Agreed tolerance

Ask the supplier to state measurement points and proposed tolerances in cm or in. Choose the sample sizes and fit reviewers. Avoid treating one size as proof of the complete size run; specify where dimensions or image placement may need separate confirmation.

03

Review method

Compare face crop, repeat scale, color references, cuff comfort and seam appearance against the approved request. If laundering or abrasion performance is relevant, agree test conditions, repetitions and acceptance criteria before requesting exact-item test evidence. This site publishes no print durability result.

04

Recorded decision

List approved attributes, rejected details and open conditions with the decision date and reviewer. Record whether the sample is a visual reference or production approval. Changing material, artwork or packing after approval requires a clearly documented review of the affected points.

These columns are a blank comparison method, not current supplier offers. For example, 10 dozen pairs means 120 pairs; verify that a supplier's use of “dozen” refers to pairs rather than single socks. A budget per pair and a whole-order budget need separate treatment when setup and freight charges exist.

Premium finish and budget priorities can lead to different proposals. Compare the actual composition, sample observations and included work instead of relying on a tier label. Any certification or labeling claim requires applicability review for the exact item. The sourcing workflow explains who confirms each response.

Send the gaps as well as the decisions

  1. Name the sock and quantities.
  2. State approved and pending artwork details.
  3. List sample, document and delivery questions.
